F.A.Q

Is there real rattlesnake oil in your products?

No! Theres is absolutly no rattlesnake oil or any other parts of the rattlesnake. Just a name with deep thought attached within.

What is cannabidiol (CBD)? What is CBD oil?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring constituent of industrial hemp/cannabis. It is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, and is being scientifically investigated for various reasons.

‘CBD oil’ is a cannabis oil that has significant amounts of cannabidiol (CBD) contained within it.

Our CBD oils are derived from industrial hemp, so they could be considered CBD-rich hemp oil, hemp derived CBD oil, or CBD-rich cannabis oil. The form of cannabis we use for our CBD oils is industrial hemp; we do not sell cannabis (Cannabis Indica) in any shape or form.

What is in Rattlesnake CBD Oil besides cannabidiol (CBD)?

Our CBD oils contain over 80 different phyto-cannabinoids, most notably cannabidiol (CBD), CBC, CBG, CBN, and probably others yet to be adequately identified. In addition to the cannabinoids present in our industrial hemp oil extracts, there are also many other types of natural molecules and phyto-chemical compounds such as amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins (including B1, B2, B6, D, & E), fatty acids (including omega 3 & 6), trace minerals (including iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, & potassium), carotene, chlorophyll, flavanoids, ketones, nitrogenous compounds, alkanes, alcohols, glycosides, pigments, hemp seed oil, water, and terpenes. The most common terpenes in our CBD oils are Myrcene, Beta-caryophyllene, Terpinolene, Linalool, alpha-Pinene, beta-Pinene, Nerolidol og Phytol, trans-alpha-Bergamotene, Limonene/beta-Phellandrene (Co-elution), alpha-Humulene, (E)-beta-Farnesene, and delta-3-Carene.

Why are hemp derived cannabidiol (CBD oil) products so expensive?

Our cannabidiol rich, hemp oil blends (CBD oils) are produced from industrial hemp.

A  CO2 oil extraction is performed on the stalks and seeds of mature industrial hemp plants, and the resulting hemp oil is analyzed in a laboratory through an HPLC test. The purified hemp oil is then again analyzed for it’s potency and purity. And then turning this high cbd, hemp oil extract into our final cbd oil blends is another additional process that takes time and resources. These necessary steps to ensure ultimate potency and purity throughout each stage of the process, and the facilities that are required to perform all the steps, all add up to hemp derived cannabidiol (CBD Oil) products being very costly to manufacture.

Is your Rattlesnake CBD hemp oil similar to Rick Simpson Hemp Oil?

They are similar, as the hemp oils and potential effects are similar looking and acting. People use the Rick Simpson method with different strains of cannabis buds, so the THC and CBD content of the final oil is always varying greatly, depending on the cannabis the consumers are acquiring. Our product is always made from industrial hemp, and Rick Simpson Hemp Oil from cannabis buds.

How does CBD oil work?

Please research cannabidiol and CBD oil through other trusted resources to educate yourself as to how cannabidiol and hemp may effect the human system.

What’s the difference between Hemp and Cannabis?

Scientifically and genetically, industrial Hemp and cannabis can be the same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis Sativa. Industrial Hemp is always a strain of Cannabis sativa, while cannabis can be Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica. The major difference is how industrial hemp has been bred compared to a high THC form of Cannabis sativa. Industrial hemp is very fibrous, with long strong stalks, and barely has any flowering buds, while a strain of Cannabis sativa will be smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds.

Is CBD from Hemp as good as CBD from Cannabis Buds?

The short answer is yes. CBD is CBD, whether from Cannabis buds or hemp. Most cannabis has a very low cannabidiol profile, so most of the time hemp would be much more preferable regarding CBD potency because it naturally has such a high amount of it.

Is CBD Legal in the USA?

CBD is currently legal in the USA. Please check if it is legal in your country before ordering

What is the safety of cannabidiol and your Hemp CBD oil? Are there negative side effects?

Cannabidiol, and other phytochemical constituents of cannabis are considered to be generally safe.  In hemp’s thousands of years of use there has not been one recorded fatality or major illness contributed to it’s use as far as we are aware, you must always consult your health advisor before consuming any of our products. Very rarely people will complain of a short lasting and mild stomach pain. This usually subsides after 2-3 days of use.

Is a standard hemp seed oil the same as a high CBD content CBD oil?

Absolutely not. Standard hemp oil, which can be found very cheaply at a grocery store, is a much different product than our Hemp CBD oil. Standard hemp oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds, whereas our CBD extract is a supercritical CO2 extraction of the hemp plant itself

What is this other stuff in your

 Rattlesnake Oil?

Cannabidiol(CBD)

Cannabidiol (CBD) (INN) is one of at least 113 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis. It is a major phytocannabinoid, accounting for up to 40% of the plant's extract.CBD is considered to have a wide scope of potential medical applications - due to clinical reports showing the lack of side effects, particularly a lack of psychoactivity (as is typically associated with âˆ†9-THC), and non-interference with several psychomotor learningand psychological functions.

Cannabichromene (CBC)

Evidence has suggested that it may play a role in the anti-inflammatory and anti-viral effects of cannabis, and may contribute to the overall analgesic effects of medical cannabis. A study done in March 2010 showed that CBC along with cannabidiol (CBD)  have antidepressant effects. Another study showed that CBC helps promote neurogenesis.

Cannabigerol (CBG)

Is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the Cannabis genus of plants. Cannabigerol is found in higher concentrations in hemp rather than in varieties of Cannabis cultivated for hightetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content and their corresponding psychoactive properties. By the time most strains of cannabis are cultivated, they will have trace amounts of CBG, somewhere below 1%.

Cannabigerol has been found to act as a high affinity α2-adrenergic receptor agonist, moderate affinity 5-HT1A receptor antagonist, and low affinity CB1 receptor antagonist. It also binds to the CB2 receptor, but whether it acts as an agonist or antagonist at this site is unknown.

Cannabigerol has been shown to relieve intraocular pressure, which may be of benefit in the treatment of glaucoma. It can also be used to treat inflammatory bowel disease. CBG can also inhibit the uptake of GABA in the brain, which can decrease anxiety and muscle tension.

Cannabidiol acid (CBDa)

Until recently, CBDa was thought to be a minor cannabinoid and only be a small part of the overall cannabinoid profile. Higher amounts have been seen in ruderalis strains and recent hybrids like Cannatonic C-6 and ACDC have elevated levels of CBDa at potentially higher levels than THCa. Just like THCa, when heated up CBDa decarboxylates; as THCa becomes THC, so CBDa becomes CBD. Like CBD, CBDa is not psychoactive. While there hasn’t been much research done on CBDa yet, the research that has been done is quite promising. It appears to have anti-emetic effects as well as anti-proliferative effects, making it ideal for fighting cancer. It also has been shown to be an anti-inflammatory and to possess anti-bacterial properties.

Cannabidivarin (CBDV)

is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in Cannabis. It is a homolog of cannabidiol (CBD), with the side-chain shortened by two methylene bridges (CH2 units). Plants with relatively high levels of CBDV have been reported in feral populations of C. indica ( = C. sativa ssp. indica var. kafiristanica) from northwest India, and in hashish from Nepal. CBDV has anticonvulsant effects.

Similarly to CBD, it has 7 double bond isomers and 30 stereoisomers (see: Cannabidiol#Double bond isomers and their stereoisomers). It is not scheduled by Convention on Psychotropic Substances. It is being actively developed by GW Pharmaceuticals (as GWP42006) because of a demonstrated neurochemical pathway for previously-observed anti-epileptic and anti-convulsive action. GW has begun a phase 2 trial for adult epilepsy, and is to begin trials of this CBDV product in children in 2016 in Australia.

THCA Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid

(THCA, Δ9-THCA, 2-COOH-THC; conjugate base tetrahydrocannabinolate) is a biosynthetic precursor of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active component of cannabis. When purified, it forms a powder which is unstable in the presence of acidsheatoxygen, and/or light.

THCA is found in variable quantities in fresh, undried cannabis, but is progressively decarboxylated to THC with drying, and especially under intense heating such as when cannabis is smoked or cooked into cannabis edibles.

THCA does not have any known psychoactive effects on humans in its own right. It does have antiinflammatoryneuroprotectiveantiemetic (anti-vomitting) and anti-prostate cancer effects. It inhibits COX-1 andCOX-2 enzymes involved in inflammation in human colon cell cultures. It has also been shown to decrease the amount of oxidative stress caused by impairment of mitochondria which is a major mechanism in neural degeneration in mouse mesencephalic cell cultures.

"THC"

ONLY TRACE AMOUNTS IF ANY CAN BE FOUND AND ARE WELL BELOW THE THE FEDERAL EXCEPTANCE OF 0.03%, it will have no psycoactive effects whatsoever and will absolutely NOT show up in any drug test.

Remember this product is made from 100% hemp period.
